Happy 2010!

I know I haven't been posting lately, but I've been in one of those reflective type of moods. That's usually how I get around the top of every new year. It's sorta like a ritual for me. Plus, I've been on vacation the past week, and the last thing on my mind was updating a blog. They don't call it VACATION for nothing. ;)

I'll be back with more posts, I promise. Just give me a minute. Thanks for being so patient with me. And a hearty hearty welcome to all of my new followers!

PS. This photo had nothing to do with the price of tea in china, but I liked it, so I posted it. Plus I love the song "Quiet Storm" by Mobb Deep. lol

Be back shortly guys and gals! Happy new year!

Music: James Pants

I don't know where all these white boys with soul are emerging from, but I am absolutely loving it. However, James Pants is not new to the music scene. I actually have some of his music in my library from the Chrome Children Vols 1 & 2 compilation albums that he's appeared on. His style is a melting pot of funk, dance, hip hop, and futuristic soul. His new album, Seven Seals, was released December 8th on the Stonesthrow label, home of some great freakin' artists (J Dilla, Dudley Perkins, Guilty Simpson, Mayer Hawthorne, and many more). Seriously guys, check out Stonethrow's website. If you're looking to broaden your music horizons, looking for some fresh new music by some talented artists, it's all on Stonesthrow. I'm currently waiting on someone to send me a copy of Seven Seals for Christmas, straight to my inbox, because although I've heard the snippets of the album, it's nothing like vibing to the entire thing. Eagerly waiting.

Willow Smith's New Hair Do, and What I Think About It...

Ok, so I meant to post about this when I first saw the photos of Will and Jada's 9 year old daughter Willow, with her new Rihannaesque haircut. It's literally been the hot topic on many gossip and entertainment blogs.
Honestly, when I first saw the photos, I wasn't shocked. Should I have been? lol I mean, what people need to truly understand about these celebrities and the kids that are born into this grand lifestyle is, this is their way of life. This is the norm for them. You know, Hollywood is like, an entirely separate planet, or so it seems.

I personally think the cut is cute. I ALSO commend Will and Jada Smith for letting their kids experiment with their looks. Sure, she's only 9 years old, and this cut is fit for someone older. It's NOT an "ordinary" kid's haircut. But what you need to understand is, these Hollywood kids aren't ORDINARY. They live an extraordinary lifestyle, sort of like royalty. This is a different KIND of 9 year old. The average kid probably won't be able to wear this hairstyle at 9 (the mommas in the hood are not having THAT), but once again, Willow ain't your average child. She's the freakin' daughter of one of the most famous people in the world. *shrugs*

Such a gorgeous freakin' family.

Now, would I let MY daughter cut her hair like this, at 9 years old? Probably not. But I won't judge The Smiths for allowing Willow to experiment with her look at such a young age. I actually think it's pretty cool, them letting her express her individuality and thangs. Well, The Smiths rock anyway so I'm not surprised at all. Work your new haircut, Willow. Work it.

Behind The Scenes With Beyonce and Lady Gaga

I think my favorite part of the video is at the end, when Bey starts chanting that she is happy because she is on her way to see her husband. So special. :)

Fashionista at Play Turns a Year Old!

I'm a terrible blog mother. I didn't even acknowledge the fact that my lil ol blog is officially a year old, as of this month! I believe I composed my first post on December 10th (check the archives). I can't believe I didn't remember to make a post about it until now. There's just so much going on this month in my personal life, that it totally slipped my mind. But, better late than never!

Happy birthday, F.A.P.!

RIP, Brittany Murphy (1977-2009)

:-( One of the most adored actresses in Hollywood, has died. Brittany Murphy starred in one of the greatest comedies of all time, Clueless....which is also one of MY favorite films. So sad, it truly is. She was only 32. She will surely be missed. I simply adored her in Clueless.

This is one sexy couple! Models Sessilee Lopez and Wendell Lissimore

I have already decided that Sessilee is one of my new fave models as well as my new "girl crush" (all in fun of course - lol), but she is one lucky woman because I had no idea she was dating Wendell Lissimore's beautiful self. What a hot couple!

"30s are awesome, and women should embrace every era that we go through because we are deliciously wise and sexy." ~ Kelis

Love Kelis! She did an interview with Pop Bytes where she talked about everything from her new album to her love for food, and how she feels about Lady Gaga and Rihanna.

As you may or may not know, Kate Moss is one of my favorite models. This image is so bad ass. Had to share. Ha.
